Talked to a friend of mine and he said that Peterbilt in Lincoln told him the ecm is set from the factory to break the engine in the way Cummins wants it. Supposedly should change at 75k miles or so.
As far as the fuel mileage, how is the transmission programmed?Rideandrepair, Siinman, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this. -
The torque “gauge” is nothing more than a calculated value. We had a 389 with that gauge in the SmartNav and it never went to 100% for the 375k miles we had it, but it definitely pulled like a 565/2050 should.
It’s more for funsies than anything.Rideandrepair and dwells40 Thank this. -
Rideandrepair, KrumpledTed and Ruthless Thank this.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. The transmission is a 12 speed Eaton Endurant. We will see what the fuel mileage does the next few days as we are heading east this time. We did deadhead 200 miles today and it showed 12.4MPG during this time. I mean I don't know if I believe that.
Rideandrepair, Oxbow and Magoo1968 Thank this. -
Is this the new norm for the “borg” spec trucks……?
