Looks like everything will be on sale next year. Ford pickups already are selling at invoice or below, which was unheard off for the last couple years

Thanks. I learned my lesson about 4 trucks ago to always have it aligned so I have them aligned before I drive them off the lot. I will say heading east we've averaged 7.7MPG grossing 74K. That's more what I had in line but honestly that's on the low end of what I'm expecting. I was hoping more 8.5PMG with how it's specd. Time will tell and I need to stop being inpatient and let her get broken in.

I'm interested in what the new 589 sales are going to be. Besides the people who just want to be the first have one, who else is going to buy one? Especially when it seems that new 389s will still be sitting on dealer's lot well into next year. I'm sure dealers and Peterbilt were not expecting that. I remember 12 months ago dealers were saying they were sold out of 389 slots.

My company finally took delivery of 6 new KW T680 Next Gen tractors spec'd out to the company's liking. I'm hoping I get one but if not I just want to get a better truck handed down to me from someone else because my current old high mileage Kenworth is probably at the end of its life with issues and was recently rear ended and that really messed it up in a way that I don't think will be able to be repaired to where issues will not continue.

    Rideandrepair and Oxbow Thank this.

I’ll probably end up with one at some point, I’m sure in my life time I’ll be told to park my perfectly good “dirty antique junk” in the barn where it belongs and buy a newer truck

Rideandrepair and Tug Toy Thank this.

I saw this earlier today. I couldn’t imagine paying 30% interest on a truck note. My credit cards have a lower rate than that.

Just for fun I talked to my bank since I’m up home for Thanksgiving and if I get something different and stay on a 4 year note with auto pay it’s 7.7%, it bumps up over 8% if I want 5 years.

850+ credit score? That's better than perfect credit. Personally, I think anyone who tries to get better than an 800 score is spending time and effort for no payoff. If you have an 800 credit score, you generally don't NEED credit - it just makes life easier.
