I guess I am getting confused. From what you stated above it would appear that you are only getting 6% of gross (cause you said "take back"). With that in mind how would you gross $1900.
Charging a 1099 driver 21% fuel surcharge after payout?

There should be a contract. It’s literally in the name. 1099 Independent Contractor. You can’t be a contractor without a contract. Anyway, you should probably seek employment elsewhere before you’re broke and in too deep to get out.misterG, Siinman, JoeyJunk and 1 other person Thank this.

The numbers are as clear and concrete as they are written here on paper right in front of my face.
Appreciate your counsel.

Yes, all true. But my question is this double dipping fuel charging? Or is he outright charging me for the use of the truck without telling me he’s charging me for the truck? -
This is a typo, my bad.
I can earn anywhere from $900 to 2k a week
After a month I can bring home avg 5-7 k and have also paid 2k in fuel. I’m other words I pay up to 2k plus in fuel monthly not weekly.GoneButNotForgotten Thanks this. -
You don't have a leg to stand on because you don't have a contract. The owner can pay you whatever and tell you whatever and you just have to put up with it.

Regardless of no contract & just curious & playing hypothetical....
$900-2,000wk / $5-7,000mo ?
Is that gross or net?
What are you basing these figures on? How are you coming up with this?JoeyJunk Thanks this. -
This is very entertaining.
