    haha.

yeah it's a pain driving a 4 wheeled vehicle. would suck having a 53' trailer with you. So many no right turn locations and tight streets. People stop in the left lane for socializing with pedestrians.

The last time I drove in T.O. as we called it was the late 70's. You could'nt pay me enough now to drive there. I still have some family that live and work there, they love it, BUT they are in their 20's. LOL

I'm a Montral fan so I can just bypass Toronto to a game.

Montreal is worse for traffic, they are the worst ########ing, inconsiderate drivers I have ever seen anywhere, but I know my way around there pretty good, when you put your signal on to get over they speed up to block you, so you just have to signal and force your way over.

Toronto has a lot of traffic, the 401 going through the city has the most traffic of any city in north America, but is is still a lot easier to get around than Montreal

The first time my husband drove to Montreal there was a detour...of course all the signs were in french!!! He tried reading the signs to me so I could translate....of course him trying to read french with a southern accent was impossible!!

True, and no Quebec vehicles come with turn signals, and Red lights mean go through faster.. that's what I've noticed. I know my way around it with out goin on the 20 or 40 now. usually take 132 west to 138 east.. then it turns into the 30.. etc etc. its a good way to go around montreal if you're passin through............... or is it 138 west. to 132 east....?? lol cant rememeber, point mercier bridge .. area, exit 60-63 i think off the 20. anyways, yeah, theres afew lights on the (either 132 or 138) but its still better then the crap ### 20.

yeah Toronto has alot of traffic, but theres no other highways that run east/west really.. QEW for the southeren part.. maybe, but it turns to the Don Valley parking lot anyways.. :biggrin_25523: then heads back north to the 401. 407 is a pay toll. and trucks over 5 tonnes i think need a transponder.. plus the 407 is a ripoff anyways. i kinda know away around T.O. using other highways.. but not highway 7, only cause it sucks, and if ya been on you know why.

now they are finally starting to build the new highway 30 which will bypass the island of Montreal, it's only taken them 30 some years to start it.

Montreal has the worst, roughest roads in the country, that Mercier bridge is so bad it really takes a toll on your back driving over it , it doesn't matter what route you take they are all rough as hell, the highway system going through montreal is about 50 years outdated, I wish they would make up their mind what they are going to do with the 20, they really need to level all those spagetti overpasses and build a new updated highway through there.

the mercier bridge is fixed now.....? or is it just the p[art that leads up to it, and yea i cant wait for the new 30 bypass.. but yes, all the roads are fubar. they were like that 30 years ago when i went to montreal for an F1 race... bet its still the exact same pavement!
