He will plead guilty to the felony, driving without a license and everything else will be dropped. A little time in jail and probation after some counciling unless the local politicians need to make themselves look good in some way.

He ain’t getting off that easily, not in Missouri, especially not with the license revocation on his record and the property damage and running people off the road prior to the pursuit. He already demonstrated that he’s a danger to public safety so they’re going to throw the book at him this time.

I have seen many things happen over the years and am constantly amazed at how many charges get dropped in exchange for guilty pleas. Weather or not he will be charged on all counts or have the book thrown at him on only some charges does depend on a lot of factors but honestly I have seen others get long lists like this reduced even with priors. And contrary to many people’s beliefs I have seen it happen in states that people claim to be tough on the very things that were dropped

In simple terms very few will actually face every single charge on a long list like that unless the person’s attorney is worthless no matter what state they are in.

Show me the end result and clarification of every charge with the verdict attached when everything is over and then we can see who is correct. Until that point your claims of not here in whatever state are no better than the others I’ve heard over the years only to see exactly, the we dropped these and accepted a guilty for those in spite of those claims.

And there have been cases where defendants have expected to get a slap on the wrist on a plea deal but the judge and/or jury go for the maximum penalty. So to assume that a defendant might plea to a felony and get other charges dropped is naive thinking at best.

My attitude is going to vary depending on the last one I have witnessed, read about or heard about !

To say it’s nieve thinking could go both ways. To assume I agree with any of the crap I saw or how this might end up if those things happen again would be the only nieve thing. I need to start thinking about how to convey my contempt for some things in my posts that are more of a blurt if we were having a face to face conversation.

Back when the Geo Metro was everywhere, we used to like to get liquored up and either switch the neighbors cars, or just turn them around, put em in the yard, right up against the front door, etc. All you need is a few folks with strong backs, and you can just carry them.

We used to do that type stuff with VW bugs. The ford pinto was also real easy to turn around, my friend and I used to be able to do it without any additional help.
