Could be alone time, it is company issued and I never updated it. However the bridges have likely been there or decades.

If you're 13'6" and go under a 13'6" clearance bridge you will clear just fine. Most dryvans aren't up at 13'6" anyway. Check it, especially with low profile tires you're probably at 13'2".

Chesapeake Bay bridge in Virginia. You have probably seen online a picture of a truck in a tunnel with a couple feet to spare. Those tunnels are 13' 6"

I have one of the best GPS truck programs you can buy. And it still get stuff wrong all the time. Especially when you miss your turn or something like that and you’re in a big city it will try to take you down a road you shouldn’t go down or with a very low weight limit or that says no trucks. Or try to have you do a U-turn we’re only a four wheeler could do one. At that point all you can do is pull over and open up the map and figure out your own route. Never fully trust. Even the best trucker GPS systems. They’ll get you in trouble faster than anything.

I was in Louisville delivering. West side. Had only one gps that would try to cross railroad track bridges there. Most roads had too little clearance. Only the free one from here. It showed all the crossings and clearances. Found one 13’9”. Drove over there. Sign said same. I crossed. Made my way over to delivery, a couple blocks away. Spent night there. Construction guy next day said; I’ve seen four rental trucks rip their roof off on that bridge. (Right next to us) There was a rental place just up that main road. Seems to me they could at least warn people when they left there with a truck.
You are always left to use your own brain. GPS is a tool. Only a tool. It’s not god. I have several. Really like Trucker Path. Satellite view is nice. Use Garmin mostly. It’s good.

I haven’t opened an atlas in more than 15 years! Never had a problem. I do trip planning with the info given by the shipper and or receiver, my gps, and I research on google maps. You guys who act like an Atlas is the only way are being unnecessarily judgmental!

Did you know for a fact the was no length restrictions on that road in WV or did you just assume your Garmin was wrong ?
