Not sure I posted in the right place here. Name is Charlene.( Female here) I have an opportunity that I came across. I Contacted a company that has a steady run from LA, Cal to the east coast. around the Newark NJ area. Its steady work. 1 round trip a week 3 weeks out B4 Home-time. oferring a lease Purchase option to me and all I need is a partner to run this with. But Here is the problem I live in Florida. I need to know how we get home back to florida? I hope they will get me an answer if freight is available to and out of Florida. Also Once load is delievered to NJ I can grab a flight out and go home from their its cheaper. Need Haz and Doubles. I have the Haz but no doubles but said I can get this endorsement when leased on. The pay .91 amile (split) plus fuel surcharge. But that is not less fuel and truck payment and the insurances for both drivers. Would someone be interested in going this opportunity with me. ? We can get into more detail if interested.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

.91 a mile??
Your joking right.
Good way to go broke fast.
No matter the fuel surcharge, that can very every week..
Please do a cost study before you sign on the dotted line.
JMHOsimplyred1962 and fl_char Thank this. -

.45 cents per mile BEFORE fuel, truck payment, and insurance? Is this right, or am I just reading it wrong? Thanks

At one time, my trucks ran solo from Torrance, CA to Carteret, NJ & that was a little over 3400 miles, but we didn't run for .91. It took about 3 days.( yea, I know it's not legal, but the DOT doesn't make the tractor payments). 3400 x .91 = $3094/ 3 days as a team + the backhaul.
Nowadays, .91 is about avg, but most companies do a little better for HAZ endorsement.
If the company provides discounts on tires & fuel, oil & lubes, etc, she can make a little money running team.
I had a truck on with Barr-Nunn in 02-03, & when fuel was 2.60/gal, I paid .99; steer tires were $300 mounted, balanced, out the door. They paid only .92/mi, but we were running +4000/wk & no load was over 25,000 lbs.(great fuel mileage) -
You the man.
Hope my wife never reads this
