....get my newbie butt in the right spot to maximize $$$$$$$$$$$$$?
For example, would I flatbed, dry van, reefer, hazmat, twic, Canada, East coast, NYC?
Which type of carrier, historically, pays best?
OTR vs Regional vs Dedicated vs ? (I know my choices here are limited in the very beginning, probably)
Just in case I decide to get greedy, how do I.....

You could try hiring on with Schneider after school, work six months then switch over to tankers. The pay is better, the home time or time off is better and if you decide to come off the road you can always find something local such as gasoline to haul.
So I would say tanker, hazmat, twic, passport.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
They also have OTR, Regional and dedicated freight -
A legal one?
