There has to be a better warning system in place for the train (of course it's not the train's fault). The engineers getting killed or hurt badly by this can be avoided by technology. The technology is there to let them know something is stuck on the track. At the very least have a phone number at the railroad crossing to warning the train company you are stuck on the track. Sad & more sad if people were hurt or killed. The driver of the equipment has to know their routes with that size of equipment if clearance are going to be a problem.
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
It's been quite a few a years now since they were installed, every crossing has a sign with a phone number and a unique location identifier.
Load like this, where you know it may take a few minutes to clear a crossing, should have been coordinated with the railroad. -
Vampire, Flat Earth Trucker and Hammer166 Thank this.

The train won again. As I look back in history I cannot find a truck winning when it comes up against a train. Trains have a perfect record.
Vampire, Hammer166 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
Looks like one of those long multi wheeled things usually relegated to the interstate. Imagine the loss here.
