That's left up to the driver, as to whether he or she feels comfortable. Safety is perfectly cool with us parking it if we feel uncomfortable with it. I've never had to chain up since I've been here luckily.

Yeah, pretty sure dispatch and safety are cool with sitting it out if you choose too. Couple weeks ago while heading to Monte Vista to grab a load of taters, CoDOT implemented chain ups on LA Veta pass. Informed dispatch I was heading back to the truck stop to wait it out. Got no flack from them at all.Friend, bryan21384, Lumper Humper and 1 other person Thank this.

We got to la veta pass one time going east an they had it closed. They were clearing it an pulling stuck trucks outta the way. I had to chain up at that point cuz they told everyone to put em on an get the highway cleared. Lost my wedding ring in the snow that day.Friend, dwells40, Lumper Humper and 1 other person Thank this.

Ha!!!! They gotta brew that liquor! They might give you a sample lol. You're going into Moore County of Tennessee, you won't be far from NY stomping grounds in Murfreesboro, maybe an hour south on US 231. I used to work with some guys from there back in college. He said it's one red light in Lynchburg, and it never turns red. I'm wondering if that's still the case lol, but that's quite the run you got there!!!Thrasher28 and Professor No-Name Thank this.
