How can I set up my own MC while being leased on to another carrier?

    It’s not been that hard in the past. However now with all this fraud going on in the industry you may have to jump through more hoops starting out. Definitely make sure to communicate with brokers that you are currently working with. They will be the ones that help you out a lot when starting out on your own. Be ready to be told no by some. It’s not the end of the world when it happens, just move on to the next one.

    i didn't use brokers, my customers knew me before i had my numbers from when i was a company driver. they heard i got my own numbers they started calling me. i haul dry bulk.

    it was in 2018, not sure what it is now, but I know in Cali it can take weeks since you need a CA number as well.
