thing is, Amazon does not have it's own drivers, all i ever see is a logistics company or O/O pulling the trailers and as for the home delivery, i know for a fact they are privately owned trucking companies that have rights to fly the Amazon flag.
best that Bezos can do is, have all his equipment painted plain white, unmarked, no one knows who it is.
as for the home delivery, have them all 1 color with the transport company name only, not Amazon's.Savor the Flavor and Freddy57 Thank this. -
Amazon local van delivery drivers making around $17 hr. doing the same type of work as UPS package car drivers making $40 hr. and from I gather, you do not go on the clock until you start loading. The other day I passed by the Amazon local whse here in Waynesboro, Va and the vans were lined up about 10 deep trying to get to the dock to load(free no pay, my understanding)
Oh, you want to become a business man, Amazon will set you up on a similar business platform as FedEx has their local delivery trucks on.Savor the Flavor, Freddy57, MACK E-6 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I always say they do a UPS driver’s workload for half of a UPS driver’s pay.
If you’re right, it’s actually even less than that.cke, mjd4277, Savor the Flavor and 2 others Thank this. -

That’s nothing, they’re building a warehouse next to our terminal in Colonial Heights,Virginia!!!
The light blue paint band around the top of the grey building can’t be mistaken for any other company!
When I mentioned that to some of the shop technicians looking at it they were like “Aw s***,there goes our safety rating!”
It’s bad enough we have to deal with those clowns on the road, but now we have to worry about possible collisions coming in and out of one of our terminals!!
The field to the left of the terminal ain’t a field anymore!!!

It's gotten to the point with Amazon, big and small, that I told everyone at the house for Thanksgiving that they needed to get away from anything with an Amazon logo on it because within a minute they were going to do something stupid!
We've all picked on the usual targets, and mostly in jest, but Amazon is insane. The vans are only mildly hazardous, but their big truck contractors are flat out dangerous. It's a rare thing to pass/be passed by one on the Interstate without a lane intrusion or unsafe lane change.bzinger, JoeyJunk, kemosabi49 and 5 others Thank this. -
God be with you, son.
Seriously. You're gonna need it.JoeyJunk, Hammer166, Bud A. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Their a-hole-ish driving would still be a dead giveaway. The world would still know who they were.

Thanks,I’ve seen their “driving skills”,big truck and delivery van alike.
Everybody thought FedEx Ground was bad,but even that company and Swift combined have managed to clean up their acts to an extent!!
You have to give Amazon vehicles a VERY WIDE berth because if they screw up,they’re likely to take you for a ride with them!bzinger, JoeyJunk, Savor the Flavor and 2 others Thank this.
