NO Haz mat endorsement on CDL when hauling Nitrogen ?

I'm not perfect but I've had a little hazmat training and actually haul hazmat items. Always less than 1,000 lbs and what I pull is perfectly legal without hazmat markings and without endorsement.FLHT, kemosabi49 and Feedman Thank this. -
It's all about the pressure on Nitrogen.
Now I am told Hydrogen is also about the pressure its transported at.
Don't seem right you still have to have the paper work but not the endorsement on your CDL.viper822004 Thanks this. -

I know it makes no sense, but it is what it is. I know quart, gallon, and 55 gallon drums aren't hazmat, and I've been told by a fuel hauler that even a full tank isn't.
So not being hazmat, none of the hazmat rules apply.kemosabi49 and RockinChair Thank this. -
Trifling, i think thats the word . seems hauling potentially harmful substances should simply fall in the category of hazardous materials . Simplified rules .
