Although the State of Texas doesn't even recognize Dallas County Parking Enforcement as a registered business.
But since cops are lax this business can operate under the radar illegally. Unless an investigation is opened.
A police department detective paid by the city would have to want to open an investigation if enough people complain. Or at least it would be forwarded to the right city/state department.
It's an unregistered ghost company without even an actual real address.
These thieves are enjoying getting rich easily.
Why would I be crying? If I had paid them the hundreds of dollars they wanted then I would be crying and angry for sure no doubt.
Certainly they did not pocket any money from me that's for sure. And I say that with a big smile pride and joy.
It was minor on my end plus I will have a cool story to tell friends and family how we must not let thieves get away with stealing from us.Another Canadian driver, Freddy57 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
That's a bold claim for someone that will only see them if they are parking illegally.

Apparently, it's not much better in Tarrant county.
I recently parked my tractor at the Walmart in Saginaw, and was approached by another driver who was also parked. He warned me that on the previous day, his tractor was booted and he was extorted $300.
Interest picqued, I asked if there was a sign nearby warning of the property being a tow zone for trucks. Indeed there was sign posted at the entrance of the property prohibiting truck parked.
The sign was about one foot tall and 10 inches wide with the verbiage barely legible, but it was there. Seeing this, I headed for the nearby Kroger.
What I don't know is why this extorted driver willingly chose to park there again after his treatment the day prior.
What I DO know is that those $1 sausages offered by the Kroger deli are quite good for what they are, and I will be buying more in the future.Another Canadian driver, The_vett, Phoenix Heavy Haul and 1 other person Thank this. -
Many walmarts have no problem with truckers parking for even hours. It all depends on the manager of the store.
I complaint to walmart of this situation. Walmart was surprised to hear it. The cop I spoke to told me typically drivers automatically accept their faith and don't complain or do anything. Many drivers don't know that they are suppose to get a fair warning.
Again let me remind you the state of Texas does not recognize the thieves as a registered business. As what I found out.
If you are a guest of the business shopping. Then the least you should get is a warning. And no putting a sticker on the window and booting it immediately after that then knocking being aggressively demanding hundreds of dollars. Is not a fair warning but a scheme to extort.
Let's not forget the obscured or missing warning signs in effect to keep a perpetual money machine for the thieves gains.
And no these people do not care if you have permission or not. May I suggest you click on the link buzzarddriver kindly posted.Another Canadian driver and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -

Kinda sounds like you were there perhaps to defend unscrupulous scammers.
I do have to get back to my business. I think I've made it clear of exposing and getting my point across. Conversation is just getting repetitive.
Have a nice dayAnother Canadian driver, blairandgretchen, exhausted379 and 3 others Thank this. -

@Tedr i would like to thank you for bringing this issue to everyone’s attention. There are multiple instances of this happening with smaller vehicles all over the United States. Individuals booting cars and small trucks when legally parked or when property owner doesn’t care. It seems some slimy slugs have decided to try the same thing with big trucks. We have some people here with internet law degrees and cyber space holier than thou awards from the interweb god that love to pile on folks. Many of us here get what you’re driving at, these are predatory individuals making money for themselves and are operating independent of any direction of the people who own the property where the vehicles are parked. Many of us appreciate your effort. A prosperous New Years to you and yours
