That’s why I’m asking. I’m sure the OP has turned down loads in the past because there would’ve been too much profit.

As you know, the dealer doesn't get those parts given to them by the manufacturer. The parts department has costs to cover too. 3 parts people and a warehouse manager probably cost the company at least $300k a year in wages alone.

They need to pass a law to limit how much these greedy parts places charge and we demand to know how they're making off their sales!!!!

It's the same nonsense everywhere it seems. People too weak to say no and begging the government to come in make laws that hurt the rest of us who can.

The manufacturers also set MSRP as well. Whether or not a dealer adheres to the recommended price is another thing. Usually regular customers get better pricing from my experience.

Evidently you’re not normal. I’ve got the price from the dealer, if the dealer is making money with $160/ joint then you do the math and decide. How much? I’ve seen shops charging 10% extra because they have to go and buy the parts and then, install them , but we are talking a whopping $90 extra on $160. Do you believe they get the parts from the dealer or from where the dealer get their parts, because most of the parts , items I inquired, the dealer didn’t even had them in stock or carry. THINK ABOUT THAT!

For one shaft, the middle one, the second one. I have 3. They removed all of them and then call me to come by, and see them ….
We all hate when you loose yourself like that, hope you find yourself ….without looking too long

    I’ll fix it, it’s just
how do you know it was cheap? Have you shop around? Ask around ? Or you just feel it was cheap compared to what you believe it should’ve cost you ?
How do you know mine is cheap, you’re comparing my price to yours ….we don’t have same drive axle, or drive shaft, some are more expensive, more heavy duty than others..,different length

I've found myself, indeed. Thanks for the clarification. You're getting screwed. A good driveline or spring shop could build you brand new ones from scratch for less than that. The yokes might be pricey but I still don't think it come up 5k all in. Call around to some driveline shops near you and ask how much for complete replacements. I highly recommend Point Spring if any are close to you.
