the one Sly Stone used in over the top was on e-bay several years ago. it was not going for a high price at the time I viewed it. there was quite a bit of work done to it at that time.

Believe me tou can. I had to go on some roadtrainings back in the military to help Canadian and US soldiers to get used to it. It is different than what is here on the road. My friend just bought a used Freightliner Argosy and will drive turnpikes here in Canada with it.

First truck I drove back in 72 was a '69 Freightliner Cabover. Like to shake me to death. I might still have a couple fillings laying around on the floor of that thing. And if you think that was bad, consider we drove teams and imagine sleeping in that shaker!
One thing I will give it, it turned tight and you could alley dock in the tightest places.
Anyone that says they want to drive one of those old shakers is either crazy or never made a 2,000 mile run in one!

Cabovers are ONLY good for tight access deliveries and remaining within length restrictions.

Kenworth australia still manufacture the Aerodyne K 108. they are crap imo.

our 'snorkels' are to keep the intakes clear of dust on country roads, predominantly on road train routes.

Once funding allows, i will be right back into a bonneted rig.. i dont care about our length laws anymore.

I have 3 cabover trucks and i love them all. Every time i use one at work i have guys telling me that seeing my trucks bring back memories. I guess there is a select few out here still that want to drive cabovers. I would have to say that the Argosy is the most comfortable though.
