Wylie & GP Transco don't hire new drivers; some of the others in that list may not take rookies, either.

Chintown's offerings here NORMALLY hire & train beginning drivers.

HOWEVER -- of late, your responses from them will likely be slow -- if at all (as you're already seeing).

Suggestion: if the others mentioned here give a chilly (or no) response -- then check out Schneider.

That's where I started.

Schneider is hiring rookie drivers for tanker duty in your area.

Training for this will likely be in Coraopolis, PA.

NOTE: Schneider will help you get the hazmat endorsement needed for the job.

You need to ask yourself the hard questions. What kind of $$$ do you want to give your home time up?
Most OTR companies want you out for 2-4 weeks at a time.
Most beginner companies want to give you under .60cpm

2500 miles/.60cpm= $1500 gross
$1500/70 hours = $21.42 an hour

If you aren't getting detention pay, breakdown pay (This is a biggie! I was surprised my 1st year how bad the emissions issues are on new trucks) or have good equipment, you are better off finding a local hourly job. You will make more money.

From miserable but well compensated tanker yanker to a sweet week on week off rotation and picking up extra loads if i feel like it, lol.
