Ya know the amount of damage isn't the issue, the lying is. Although the company could be required to have it re-certified IF the damage was bad enough

Depending on state laws, a prospective employer may not be allowed to ask if termination ended employment. They may only be able to confirm start, and ending dates of employment.
Big Road Skateboard Thanks this. -
This is not true in any state, nor at the federal level. A company can say anything truthful (liable laws apply) that they want to. Most don't because they don't want to deal with frivolous lawsuits, but there is nothing stopping them legally l.wis bang and JolliRoger Thank this.

Most tankers don't have insulation. Be smart if they did though. Keep the valves from freezing in the winter.
Even less are heated.
So to say only the shell was dented would be incorrect.
The type of trailer wasn't mentioned.
My last job had only one insulated out of about 30. None were heated. -
So that's how my dispatcher knew I falsified my logbooks,,,
JolliRoger and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
THIS... Its NOT that the accident happened.. its that the "driver" tried to pretend it didn't. No one likes it, but accidents happen, we're human.. but the absolute deal breaker is when the driver tries to hide it and or then lies about it. That brings everything to be questioned about the entire driver's history. Just suck up your pride and admit that you're human and report it.chimbotano Thanks this.

I know of an owner long ago, that his employees could total a piece of equipment and if they were truthful, keep their job, but if they lied and he found out, they were gone.

just scratch or big damaged, you always tell the truth, period. At the same time as you are expected to be honest with your employer, YOU must expected your employer to be honest with you.
when I used to work as an employee, I worked my ### off. I did my best to learn and produce what I was expected and more from my employer, but as soon as I noticed mis treatment, abuse or exploitation to me or to my coworkers, I denounced and I quitted. I did not think twice about it.
some employers called me back , other supervisors gave me a good recommendations.
unfortunately, employees sell themselves short, are afraid to speak up, are afraid of loosing their jobs for standing up for what is right, therefore companies take advantage of them.
In this industry, as you guys can see, many of you guys are closing their businesses, and what you guys do ???
you go and start driving for those big companies, you go and lease your equipment, you go and lease purchase from those same companies and corporations who are pushing us out this industry. so, you guys rather give up your livelihood, you freedom to become someone's else cheap labor. you guys are giving those big companies and corporations the power to monopolize cheap freight, because you are the one who will drive for them for pennies.
to me , in my opinion , is a very cowardly attitude. it is the easiest way to give up for something that it is very essential to live a decent life.
