    Yes, I am an owner operator. I get my loads directly from the customer. You will be thumbing your way around if you depend on load boards. Especially in today’s freight market. Slim pickings everywhere right now

    im seeking 2 answer to my questions but i think ill ask progressive insurance tomorrow how much would i pay in insurance.
    did i ask you if you even own a truck? lmk cause i rather talk to actual successful business owners

    do you think a new owner operator could get enough work from the loadboard to cover 5k insurance + 4k truck + 3k for myslef +500 maintenance 12500 on fixed monthy expenses running 11000 miles a month from what i hear.
    Are my numbers somewhat real or am i totally off. ty

    The reality is, insurance is going to be high no matter what. You'll be inexperienced. Inexperience, plus all that you got going on, it's a real chance you may not even be insurable. If all of that what you posted occurred in the last 3 years, you've got 0 chance, whether you go to be an owner op or a company driver. As far as whether it's gonna be 60k, none of us are the ones to ask. You need to call an insurance company and let them quote you.
