It is worth very little. If you do "sell: it, the FMCSA will not give your number to the buyer, they will get a new number.

If you sell the company, they will inherit the mc#, but they will need a new dot#.

If your authority is under an actual business structure like an LLC or corporation you can sell your authority for a range of 5k-15k If you sell it as part of selling your business. The MC and the DOT number goes with the business.
Remember; you are selling an interstate transportation company...not an authority. The authority/MC/DOT just happens to be a part of the business you are selling.
