Just wondering, are you a mail order only shop? Or do you have a brick and mortar place that people can stop at. Always nice to see another tech on the forum.

People know where I am located at and they bring me radios to repair. I am not a "mail order" only type of person who hides behind a P.O. box.Another Canadian driver, Timin770 and popcorn169 Thank this.

I have a general Lee radio had it about 12 or more years. Having issues with it and need to find someone who can check it out or get a new radio. I have a mack anthem that I am putting it in. Any recommendations.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Good tech at Hood's Truck Stop in MO, I-44, Exit 61. I don't know his hours these days, but if it can be fixed, he can fix it and his rates are more than reasonable.Another Canadian driver and popcorn169 Thank this.

I have a General Lee. Been in 5 different trucks, 3 of those being oilfield trucks which take a beating. It’s had a rough life with no issues. Good radio IMO. Always sounds great regardless of vehicle, antenna or coax I have used.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about radios. I just know what I have works and that’s good enough for me. It’s as trusty as my FLD120.Oxbow, Another Canadian driver, popcorn169 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Can you provide more information other than "having issues"?Oxbow, Another Canadian driver and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Channel light not working all the time the sound comes and goes have to turn it off then back on again.
Of coarse I need new antenna for it alsoOxbow, Another Canadian driver and JoeyJunk Thank this. -
Check for bad solder joints, bad capacitors, the channel LED module could possibly be going bad, and the audio chip could possibly be going bad. Pretty standard things to check with a radio of that age.Oxbow, MACK E-6, Another Canadian driver and 4 others Thank this.

I always liked the General Lee as a trucking radio. Never messed with sideband when trucking so that wasn't important to me. The band selector on the Gen Lee made it easy to drop down to the "company channel" 26.735 as opposed to say like the Galaxy 33 which required flipping a switch then turning the band selector. I always ran dual final export radios of one kind or the other. Gen Lee was one of my favorites.Oxbow, Another Canadian driver, popcorn169 and 1 other person Thank this.
