Midwest Travel Plaza in Cuba, Missouri to become T/A

Currently that room is closed off for "remodeling" according to the waitress her boss isn't sure if corporate is gonna make it smoke free or not.

I'm gonna go with yes, lol.

Not 100% sure but don't know of any other TA in the country that allow smoking in the restaurant?

As someone mentioned above the menu was changed over to the same as every other TA in the country, they just have it a brown color to try and make it look different.

First time I've ever seen the restaurant 75% empty at dinner time...

What a shame.

Well you just stop and get your Mickey Dees at the Loves and eat in your truck then if you don’t like eating in a real truck stop!

 

I ate at Cuba once, and I also only ever ate at Farris once. They are free to choose to allow smoking and I’m free to choose to not give them my dollars. That’s how it works. If enough smokers and non-smokers who are fine with stinking after they eat give them their dollars then there shouldn’t be any worry of them closing. We see how that worked at Farris. I’m sure I’ll survive with my cooked meals in the truck, it’s also quieter in there than having to listen to stories about US Marshalls and government loads with surveillance cars and helicopters that someone used to haul.
