    For what it's worth...

Keep an eye on the mounts that hold the fairings that cover the fuel tanks. I've had both sides let loose and go flopping in the wind. The monkey at the Kriete dealer said that they apparently will wear out and that it's a "common problem". It's the plastic clips that slide into the aluminum channel.

I learned to drive in an early 2000s Volvo. It rode well but every bump had the dash shaking so badly I thought it was going to fall off the firewall.

    January 23, 2024. Not January 2023.

Personally I have owned a 2001 Volvo 770 for sixteen years, never had a problem with it.

Now I own a 2016 Volvo 780 and besides replacing the AHI module, it runs like a charm.

I purchased all my Volvo trucks used and so did my friends.

I have other friends that own Volvo trucks and besides the normal teething issues, they’ve been running great.

So my experience is definitely the opposite of yours.

Same, just sold a 15 with 1.1 million, original drivetrain, running fine. Never an aftertreatment or electrical problem more than NOX sensors.

2021 I just bought is fine too at 500k, Did some midlife stuff when I got it, no issues and no worries. Looking for another 500k out of it.

I have hear the same thing from a few people. Never seen an issue so far with mine. I keep a pretty good eye on my truck so should spot a problem before something bad happens.

You probably think all of these Chicago 1099-ers are so stupid buying the white volvos, but I'll tell you you're wrong.

    Siinman and DUNE-T Thank this.
