Delivered in Bedford last night. In and out in 2 hours, which was surprisingly good for a Walmart. Got sent a Hershey load that was scheduled to be ready this morning. Was happy to be able to watch the championship game. A lot more relaxing to watch when it's two teams I have no feelings about lol.

One thing I've noticed is Climate seems to be ramping up with a decent amount of new trailers. Picking up 4024 right now and had 4028 last week. I got curious and looked online and the number of power units and drivers on FMCSA both went down by 15-20. Not sure if it's just the seasonal changes or a little regression from COVID times, but it has been a lot more pleasant the last month or two. Better miles, better trailer conditions, less sitting around waiting on loads. Might just be coincidence

Oh yeah...I think it was Chris told me one day that they can't keep a reefer longer than 10 years. That's a regulation i didn't know about til I started here. It makes sense though. There were a few of those 25 series trailers that I knew were on borrowed time. They just drank so much fuel if they were on continuous mode. If I had a frozen load with some of them, it was gonna take all year to get that trailer to ice lol. Im about to grab a load out of Palmyra too. It was right at 2 hrs in Pottsville last night.

The championship game was entertaining til Michigan pulled away. Washington lost to a better team though. All year Washington has been getting those explosive plays and they were lost without the ability to get those. Hats off to Michigan...now Harbaugh is leaving probably. Lol. College football, at least Power 5 college football is going to look so different next year.

Thinking the hype around Michigan being the better team played a bit of mind games on Washington. Entire receiver core and Penix looked off their game compared to their other 'big' games like ORST, ORE, WAST, Texas, etc. Excited to see Odunze in the NFL. Hopefully the NFL will still see the potential in Penix as a fairly early draft pick. Lord knows the NFL is in need of solid QB's :D

I went to some customers that wouldn't load a trailer older than 10 yrs old. Even had to show the annual or registration to prove age.

Michigan got pressure on Washington early, and often, I think that was the difference. I felt like Washington left some plays out there though. If they had taken the slow and steady approach on offense as opposed to looking for the home run so much, I think they would have had a chance. Those big play offenses get slowed by fast and physical defenses. I do agree, that Odunze is a player. He needs to come on to Nashville and play for the Titans lol

I actually had a dry van get rejected for that reason with another company. They barware super strict at those places loading roll stock. Those are definitely not my favorite loads to haul

Yea but the odd part about them saying that they're not allowed to keep trailers over 10 yrs tho is it's ok to sell em to other companies an for them to use em. Plus i thought climate tried to keep their trailer pool under 5 yrs average.

I initially thought that too, but I saw the manufacture date of some of those 24 and 25 series trailers, and they were in their 8th or 9th year of use. All of the old trailers I saw them at Craftsmen the last time I was there. I wonder if they strip the good parts of the trailers or just restore them altogether.

@bryan21384 hope ya made it out of PA alright. Got a little sketchy late this morning. Forecast was showing 40 degrees or so by then, but only got up to 34 when I rolled through. Was that weird in between temp where some people were still doing 70 and some were crawling at 35-40. Disaster waiting to happen with those kind of speed differences and a little slick.

I got out of PA no problem, and I was able to keep full speed for the most part. It was just rainy but no snow fell at any point. The rain didn't let up til I parked. I'm at the Speedway in Knightstown, IN. About 4 hrs and I should make it in..I'll get in by midday. I woulda made it farther if i didnt have to get the trailer washed out. How much farther you got?
