Hey guys. I need to replace my king pins in the near future. In the past I had a big fancy parts store near by to lookup parts I needed by my vin. Well I don't have that luxury anymore and need to source my king pins online somewhere. My question is how do I know if my FLD132 has a Eaton, Rockwell, meritor etc steer axle? I have never cared to know and don't know the difference between them. The truck is a 2001 Freightliner classic xl. I assume there is an easy way to tell? Thanks in advance.

Should be a tag on it. Mine has a sticker inside glove box with axle information. FLD120.

Once you find the tag here is the Kaiser catalog:

I installed MANY Kaiser kits over the years. I never had a single problem with them.

Thanks guys I have done a few king pins kits on some international trucks in the past. Haven't ever heard of the Kaiser kits. I will look into them.

Make sure they’re needed. Might just need a shim.
