The school doesn't hire you, you hire it. Just like any other schooling you go to in America, it will cost you and it will probably be way overpriced. I say prolly cause I got lucky and my cdl school was state sponsored so I only had to buy the books and pay for my license at the end.
Some companies will pay for you to go to school but then you'll prolly have to sign a length of employment with them and if you leave early, you will have to pay for the schooling out of your pocket. Some companies used to just train drivers and have their own schools. But idk if they do that anymore. A case like yours is to best get a local job somewhere, let time go by and with enough time you should be hireable. Providing you keep clean on the time going by. When I was younger I never had any DUIs at all but I had so many speeding and reckless driving and intent to drag race driving that they took my license away and gave me a permit to work and home and the store only. Back then I figured I'd never be able to drive a truck, but enough time went by (20yrs later) and my DL was spotless, so I quit my deadend job and went to school to become a truckdriver and make good money (but actually just traded one deadend job for another deadend job) just remember when going otr, your social life will cease to exist. Good luck to ya and let us know how it turns out. -
I was coming home from NE going to KS and got surprised by one doing about 95 in a 65. He cut me a break but I told him that those NE troopers scared me cause one of them ran off with my wife.. why you going so fast? Was afraid you was bringing her back!Chinatown Thanks this.

DANG! Glad I got off the road and never faced him coming the other way on a 2 lane icy and snowy highway! Hunts point? That brings back old memories. No sir, all I miss are the paychecks and cheap health insurance!
