Wussup everyone, I’ve searched through past post, but couldn’t find an exact breakdown or answer to my question.
So I’ve never had my truck ask for a parked Regen until this week. It asked for one on Monday and now the light came on again today while driving (Friday).
Truck is a 2018, with 540k on it , I have a APU and avoid idling as much as possible. Filters were baked a 100k ago, however, I had an EGR cooler (replaced EGR valve as well) take a dump about 30k ago and dump a lot of coolant through the exhaust. Engine was replaced around 60k ago, along with new turbo.
Would this indicated that it’s time to bake or replace my DPF filters? Or anywhere else I should look first to eliminate possible sensor issues.
Also any experience with bakes vs new DPF filters?
I figured it was getting time to bake or replace them.
