O/O, so I don't have to "show" that I did a Pre or Post. I was told over 20 years ago by the Inspector that did my New Entrant Audit, when they still showed up in your driveway with a white van and actually did an audit, to NOT show anything on a log book I didn't need to.

Most of the time if company driver. They want you to report a PTI. Probably because if get pulled into a scale. The officer can see that you atleast took a peek at things. Based on logs. If you actually did it is another story.

Not necessarily. About 20 years ago I was in a weigh station on I-57 in Illinois when a trooper sprinted out to his car to go catch a truck that blew past. A couple or so minutes later he contacted the coop to let everyone know he succeeded. That's probably rare though. I once met a driver who said he always blows past and never gets caught. He drove for the same company as me, too---governed at 65.
