Fire Hydrant Knockover Causes A Mess

well.......i'm sure that a hit & run, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage is gonna get that dumbarse fired...they will locate him soon enough with that video footage.

How did he manage that…I mean there’s no way he wasn’t going to get that thing with some part of the rig…

 

That driver never saw the fire hydrant.

If the city of Detroit is sensible at all, the hydrant will be replaced by a dry barrell type hydrant. This type of hydrant can be knocked down without the gushing water. And four bollards.

 

he hit the hydrant and stopped.

i don't care how stupid someone is, he felt it, and stopped.

he knew he did something, even if it was curbing, but still did not get out and look, and drove off.

expand the video to large screen, at or about the 1 minute point, stop the video and hit play, then stop, then play,......you will see him hit the hydrant, and GET UP OFF the drivers' seat and look out the passenger WINDOW..!!! he saw what he did..>!!!

the video will be enough to get him fired. hopefully too, he gets nailed with motor vehicle charges.
