Look pal, I don't belong to this site to call someone an idiot, and am offended you might think that. I've got a lot of miles on a lot of different trucks and am only trying to help. What you are describing doesn't make a lot of sense to many here. I haven't heard anyone actually diagnose what's wrong, and can be summed up as "gremlins in the machine". We've all had them, and I've had bosses say, "well, you'll just have to put up with it", followed by my notice to quit. Maybe the God dax frame is bent, the guy hauling it piggy back from the factory maybe ran over something, I'm sure it's frustrating, good luck with that.
Just as a sidebar, us old timers drove trucks that NEVER went in a straight line, we fought the steering wheel all night long, it was just part of the job.

Tried swapping the steers side to side yet?
If it pulls the opposite way. That'll tell you it's the tire.MACK E-6, tarmadilo, Thrasher28 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Not yet, but that'll be my next option when I'm back to the terminal shortly. Based on all I've seen online about if, that seems like it'd be the most likely culprit. Doesn't seem like Bridgestone is held in the highest regards for quality control based on my research either, but who knows. They're wearing well at least.
Will update when I do. -
Apologies for interpreting it wrong. Appreciate your info and help. It's puzzling me too, as well as the shop apparently. I've had trucks slowly develop a slight pull over the course of 100,000+ miles, but never suddenly. Will be trying out swapping the steers side to side, and if that doesnt work, I'll ask them for an all expenses paid vacation to MD Alignment in Kansas City. Hard to undo wear patterns if this persists long enough for them to set in.
And I believe ya about the older trucks. I'm sure these brand new trucks drive like mini vans in comparison. It's about all I've driven besides a couple older t800's when I first started local. Even those are barely 'old' in comparison to what a lot of people here drove.201 Thanks this. -
Did the shop find a problem with the truck and what was it? Did they fix the problem? Did they document that repairs were made and the truck is safe?
-
Well OP, you ain't going to like what I'm going to say.
It is unsafe - PERIOD!
I would not allow that truck on the road until it is sorted out, and it sounds like your company shop are a bunch of idiots.
That's why it is unsafe.
THIS IS THE OTHER REASON.
OK so this is a problem for a bunch of new trucks, I had a couple that did almost the same thing, the cause was when the truck was at the factory they did not tighten down the traverse torque rod properly, and became loose, knocking the rear axle alignment off enough where it tracking was messed up. Most likely you need a good all-axle alignment done by a reputable shop and see where that leads. On the other side of the coin, I had one newer truck that had hub issues with the spindle, it was repaired by FL because it was a material failure, and we caught it just before it became an accident.
The reason I tell drivers not to drive the truck is it is an accident looking for a moment to happen. A lawyer will fry you in a New York minute if they find out this was a problem where you needed to park the truck, the company will let you hang yourself and provide the lawyers with everything against you. -

What make of truck? I’ve had a Mack anthem from brand new that went to the alignment shop at day 1, not only would it pull right, the steering wheel was crooked. It now has almost 500K, and still pulls right. I wish I had a solution for you buddy but I don’t, just letting you know I feel your frustration, they simply don’t make them like they used to. I’ve been with this company 12 years and this is my 10th truck, unfortunately this is the only one to fight me like it does, god bless the day I see a new one.

Or an innocent person / family you might kill if whatever’s wrong simply makes it unmanageable in an emergency situation.
red tag it , and have the head mechanic or even the safety guy in charge drive it.
if you’re involved in an accident , it’s you’ll they’ll come after first.
write it up , keep a copy for yourself , and refuse to drive an unsafe piece of equipment.
it’s always better to be looking for a job , than be searching for a good lawyer.
Best of luck ! -
I had a company truck with the exact same symptoms, and my lease truck was like that from factory also.
just needs a three axle alignment, the drive axles are off by just a little and they're making the truck turn like a forklift, where you have to compensate with the wheel. you'll start getting wear on the shoulder of the curbside steer too. I was getting shoulder and hip pain from it, it was also a 10 speed manual so having to hold it left with one arm and row gears with the other all day
school teachers are always buying their own supplies cause no school budget, take it for a three axle alignment, make sure it's one of those good laser ones where they hang the laser things off all the wheels and the computer walks it in bit by bit, TA usually has them. money well spent if you'll be in the truck very long.KDHCryo Thanks this.
