Baritone,
Alan already explained about the reset and 34. You'll also learn about the 11, 14, and 70.
Most every company nowadays, uses a qualcom or something similar for commo. Depending on the company they will have either forms or macros and they will be numbered. Thats where the 99 comes from and sounds like a central #. My company calls them forms and these are some examples.
1) load commitment
2) arr at shipper
3) lve shipper etc....
Hope this helps.
Was going to say something about the spanking issue but thought better of it.![]()

Ok here is what I know thanks to some friends at JCT, that do not post here and by all means I do not know what is true or speculation, so here goes...
We only have about 8 company drivers left, all were with John as he started the company and have stayed with him through the years, the are all older and plan on retiring when they feel its time, they all have t660's, I can say this is true since it came from a company driver that helped me with some info on my Kenworth.
There is no give you one Pete for 10 International deal going on, they are not worth that much. This is an economics issue, right at the moment the international was showing a better profit return, until the gremlins set in and I hear it is being carefully watched, we can't keep rescuing loads due to breakdowns, it creates a logistics nightmare! Yes all trucks break but the trend with the international is alarming to those in upper management. (this is rumor)
John will sell off a block of 10 trucks, say pete, kw, ect. this is true. after they have proved a profit but are now older or in need of work. I was concerned with this as I want to buy my KW. I have the info I need and who to inform of this decision, no guarantee though but I'm doing my best for John and hope that clears my truck from any "list".
I have had no negative experiences with the shop and I'm trying to get there now for some parts we ordered, their was a "drop the ball" on someones part on wither it was authorized but a phone call straightened it all out, didn't matter, I haven't gotten there yet anyway but the parts are! I do know this from other friends at JCT, do not go to the shop and expect to get in and out. Plan your trip! Get the load dropped there or deliver into Tulsa, wait till u have a load that works out for this and work with your DM, leave the truck, head for the Days Inn and relax! Hell do a 34! As for the parts I ordered, we did analyze the profitability of my truck before approval, and they were approved! they also know I keep my truck in pristine condition.
I had always wondered about the J1, I'm now close to 6mos without it so I want it done when I do get to the shop, remember the cost is $75 McD's apple pies! but if its coupled with something else its 0, nestegg, nothing! I was informed that they will bring U, into the yard, when they want it done, and the newer the truck, the sooner! Also they will pull u in for performance issues, logging, on time, etc. and do the J1 to get a picture of u the driver, how does he keep the truck ? Hope this helps us all stay informed and we all share the info.
dabs, mushroom1464 and The Challenger Thank this. -
Welcome to Both of you and get double the rest he said! They are going to run u out the gate to see what your made of! Do your best, use your time wisely, ask for help on here if ya need it! We all did!!! Plan your PTI with fuel, Plan your Post with fuel, what ever it takes to save those minutes
u never know when all those little 15mins might mean a repower or successful run, be very aware of your recap and communicate with ur DM! Keep your a@# in the seat and the left door closed, open it for as many reasons possible, fuel, soda, bathroom, reefer fuel, temp call... Welcome to the Team!

My ultimate plan is to either lease or become an O/O one day if I can find a program to the extent that you all seem to have. But I am in no hurry for either. Being a company driver is just fine for me for now.

Thanks - I have read these forrms for a long time now and even though some are destin to only "Biotch and moan" - there is a matter of truth to each of their stories. I can only imagine what the first year will be like - but as much as I have traveled for work for the past 24 years - dealing with all walks of life from the East Coast, West Coast, South East, North East and even The Plains States, and now the Philippines, I am used to dealing with diversity at it's best. I am sure I dont know the half of it - but there's not much I havent dealt with and have learned to locate the positive and use that as my guide for the "bigger picture" is my plan!
Thanks again! -
Thank You Sir - I was thinking that was where the numbers were coming from. I read most of the other threads in both good/bad companies as well as "New Drivers forms" etc but dont really trust much of what I read there so I come to this thread for "real insight"!Panhandle flash Thanks this.
