If you don't want judgements from people, don't put "your friends" poor driving on the internet.
Simple fact is he's a crappy driver that got lucky this time. Hopefully he learned so won't kill someone next time with his poor driving.
Are serious accident career enders?

No I wasn't there and I didn't see it. I did read what the OP wrote and that is what I commented on.
Do you think this was something other than a following too closely accident based on that post?LOTSO, Chalino and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
The police report was very incomplete. Usually what happens is that a driver is done for until it falls off their CVOR. The report fell into his benefit and he is extremely lucky and the company got off lucky too. There was a witness with dashcam footage and I'm guessing that helped his case.

I heard Alberta isn't the greatest for work but that's just a gross generalization from what I've heard. What's the best work going out that way?[/QUOTE]
Fluid if anything changes. It’s definitely busy right now hauling fluid. Lots if it is Super-B but there’s still some Tri-Tri’s going. Starting at $35 and Easily up to $45 an hour.Trugo, Canadianhauler21 and Albertaflatbed Thank this. -
Alberta imo is the best for trucking jobs, unless you're one of them steering wheel holders that only wants to pull vans lol. Good money in logging and oilfield. I recently left logging to haul fluid, in a Tri-Tri unit and make $55 an hour plus easily achievable bonus of $1800 a month.
Albertaflatbed and Canadianhauler21 Thank this. -
#### that sounds amazing. I'm looking to head out there sometime next year. You're absolutely right, I had a few friends who went out to alberta and it didn't work out but they were all dry van door swingers. Good to hear the other side of things.Albertaflatbed and 03machwon Thank this.

Yea Van/Reefer/General Deck out here is beyond ####ed. Fuel, Fluid, Logging, Vac Truck, Propane, Oversize, Equipment/RGN hauling are where the money is at, but you're gonna work for it.Albertaflatbed, Canadianhauler21 and gokiddogo Thank this.

I've done quite well doing oversize for a few years and linehaul now.
Really depends on experience, and what you are willing to do to make the coin.
Sand is big right now as is n2, lots of great choices, just look at indeed and punch in edmonton, calgar, ft Mac or grande prairie to see pages of quality paying jobs -
Yea I did a couple relief hitches out of the GP Petro Pass, working for a contractor, who was hauling Condensate for Fairborne Energy. I should have perused that further, or pulling those double 48ft? pressurized bottles, don't remember what the product was, but I remember the trailers were impressive, and the guys were rolling brand new Volvo VNX's, all decked out.Albertaflatbed Thanks this.
