Thank you! It’s interesting learning about a side of trucking I’ve never been involved in. If you get serious about a tiny house there’s several manufacturers in TX that we haul for and we can definitely bring one to you wherever you are. We’ve covered quite a few states
to all end dump haulers...

@motocross25 I saw in the fedex thread you mentioned setting up a tv, I have a tv in the mack that is hooked to epicvue, but I have to set it out every night I’m gone, it’s not hard mounted to the truck. Moving forward, I’d like a more simple set up in my next truck and was hoping for a few pointers. Do you receive cable, or just use it through a hot spot on your phone for Netflix and things like that? Any and all advice would be appreciated, I’m not very tech savvy, I’m stuck in the early 2000’s so any help would be great.
Oxbow, NightWind and motocross25 Thank this. -
Well my little bunk here doesn’t have a mount so I don’t have one in this truck. BUT my old job the Petes there came with tv mounts on the passenger side sleeper wall. And they had an over the air antenna behind it that you could hook up. So everytime I’d stop I’d scan channels and get the local feeds. Out in the middle of nowhere a lot of times you’re at the mercy of credit card churches, cooking shows and old westerns. So like you said I put a cheapo smart tv in there, and could hotspot it thru my phone if I had decent service. I also got a bare bones basic dvd player for like $19 at Walmart and hooked that up and would throw on a movie every now and again.Oxbow and Trashtrucker1707 Thank this.

@Trashtrucker1707 Tell me about the Epic view as I am thinking HARD about getting rid of Dish at my house. I'd like something I can take with meor use at home.Oxbow and motocross25 Thank this.

The company I work for just has a standard lineup with them channel wise, on my old truck it was hard mounted to the back of the cab and was great, flip a switch and in 5 minutes you had tv, it has to search for the signal and all that jazz every time I fire it up. On the anthem I carry it in my passenger seat and have to set it up nightly, crappy weather will affect it, but overall it does pretty good.

Hay anyone going up to buildex be careful gettting on or off the scales there. Whole place is basically an ice rink. Loader went for a ride and i nearly did too trying to get on the scale. Trailer went sideways on the icr and caught at the edge. They put material on everything but its slicker then a greased up used cars salesmen out here

Sorry @Arctic_fox i had replied to your comment yesterday about Hutch then must have never hit “Post”. But yea it was that bad. It sucked actually. They weren’t using the belt at all. And 10-4 on slippery haydite conditions. Be careful if you’re coming south with that, around Ottawa it’s pretty thick fog. There was a few places I only knew I had spot mirrors on my hood cuz I seen em this morning.

Welp. That happened. Apparently airbags can go full on projectile mode was backing up to find a level spot and BOOM. thing shot off so hard it put a big dent in my fender and landed 50 feet from where it started lol....not quite sure what to say here since i was not lifting the bed or anything. Just pulled up my front axle to back in.
