The short summers in Michigan takes getting used to but while short lived they are really nice. Being able to drive with the windows down and not deal with a/c is a plus for me.

USPS contractors. They're seeing some slowdown though, as the Postmaster General is trying to shift toward using brokers, and away from steady contracts that sometimes resulted in drivers pulling empty or near-empty trailers when mail volumes were low but the trips had already been contracted for.mav100 Thanks this.

I've been told by a friend that works as a local driver there for 20+yrs now, has told me that they have hired CDL drivers right into a CDL position without having to work on the dock and then work as a local delivery driver. I've also heard that on their landing gears, it's air operated, no cranking to put the legs up or down. I would've went to work for them but I live close to 200mi away to my hiring terminal and they wanted me to drive my personal vehicle back and forth to home once a week and my p.o.s. ride couldn't handle all those miles.mav100 Thanks this.

I would think that after only 1 year OTR with an automatic, driving a 10-wheel-and-pup rig like that would be a pretty steep learning experience....Chinatown Thanks this.

Looking for OTR, Regional or Local work. We are located in the Dallas Tx area. We are interested in doing AA&E work or Hazmat work. We also are looking to possibly get into flatbed or Step deck if company provides training.
