You’d think that some point some of these cops would figure out being Rambo isn’t ever going to work in their favor. The Western driver was already out with his hands up, complying with the officer’s commands. There was no reason for that dog to be told to attack.

Leo's are just used to getting their way no matter what. Those days are long gone. A couple of years ago I had a CHP pull me over on CA14 nb @ pearblossom. He was pissed that I would not unlock the passenger door and allow him to get inside of the truck. Had it all on camera and the judge dismissed it, but still cost me my time. Doors locked windows up except the drivers window, curtain pulled.

It's funny how they will tell people to get OUT of their vehicle for officer safety, but this guy wanted to get INTO your truck. Sure, a stranger with a gun, hop on up. Kudos to you for standing your ground. Was it a DOT cop or Barney Fife? How did it end?

They didn’t have much choice,Circleville is still in damage control mode after that fiasco, plus a trial by jury would’ve resulted in the city paying out even more than what they’re settling for now, given the negative publicity!

Pay a little now or pay A LOT later!

Well.....if jobs paid enough for people to live, they wouldn't have to be on welfare. It's not the best idea to have children in this day and age, true enough, but that isn't the sole reason people end up on welfare. It costs too much to live and no job is aligned with how much everything costs. Cost if living is out of control. Either folks go on welfare, or they go into debt. Pick your poison. Lol

Right.....I'm trying to figure out why the officer who dropped the ball get 40k and was allowed to voluntarily resign.

I'm glad the driver got some money, but the city really got off easy. That wasn't enough money in my view. I understand the driver fouled up, but there wasn't a reason for the dog to go after him.
