Edwardsville terminal, back in the shop to fix that little Zonar issue and get PasSmart turned back on.
When I mentioned PasSmart to the shop guy he looked at me with blank eyes. He wanted to know if I was talking about the PrePass.
I won't get in until tomorrow. Hopefully it won't take too long. -
They had the truck for most of the day. That Freightliner dealer did a number on it.
They reprogrammed the ECM and something else, basically setting everything back to factory defaults. Including the password they needed to do much of the work.
The Zonar now sees the truck odometer miles, and everything should be back to Swift settings.
The guy working on it told me he sets PasSmart to +5, so that should give me 70 when I use it. That will be nice.
I have a nice load tomorrow morning out of here, so I'll find out for sure once I start driving.dptrucker Thanks this. -
jurupa valley at home.
o my way to last trip(3rd one of the day) dl called and said to stop at target dc in rialto ca.
got lucky as he called rite before the exit i needed to take.
another driver had dropped a loaded trailer .
when he moved the tandems to the back he didnt lock the pins in.
target called swift and wanted it fixed.
guess the lazy yarddogs dont know hoe to do it lol.
so i got went ahead and fixed it
at the final i noticed a good size oil spot when i moved the truck.
so i went to a clean area and let it run for a few minutes.
openned thw hood and looked aroumd and foumd a steady drip.
so now its back in the shop.
dl gave me a loaner daycab for tomorrows trip. -
I notice that a lot, where the last driver fails to lock in the tandem pins. Pure lazy.
But for Target to call for another driver to come in just to put it back in position? That is pure crazy and wasteful.dptrucker Thanks this. -
That is Target's way of saying 'Hey, Swift, make sure your drivers are paying attention to this stuff'. Or pure pettiness. Pick one I suppose.dptrucker Thanks this.
