I live in Utah. When I owned my dump truck, I had a guy follow me into a job site in West Jordan that after I dumped my gravel, he dipped my tank. I thought he was following me to get a free windshield like some do.
I’ve been dipped in Dumont, Colorado twice. Dunsmuir, California once……..my buddy got dipped in Fountain Green,Utah because he’s a contractor and has red diesel in the tank in the back of his pickup…….they were making sure he wasn’t pumping it in his pickup fuel tank.Vampire, Tug Toy, NightWind and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'd love to hear some stories about the creative ways people have tried to skirt this issue.

I've never ran dyed fuel in the big truck and never would. back when I was part of the farm operation, driving a diesel pickup with a slip tank full of farm fuel....yeah it was rare I stopped at a fuel station

I guess you could make a mess sneaking around trucks in Montana and putting red food coloring in the tanks. Then call the EPA and tell them of all these trucks you saw filling up at the off road diesel pump down the road.
77fib77 Thanks this. -
