I think I heard you in West Memphis the other night on the CB and the next day in the restaurant. Yes I believe it was you Machine. Your the one with a US Marshall card in your wallet with a direct phone line. You also hang out in the driver section at the truck stop restaurant telling everyone about your latest road adventure. The one where you have top secret goverment clearance and haul them hush, hush top secret loads for the goverment that pay $20 dollars a mile and you have an armed gaurd that travels with you. I just can't beleive you drove 300,000 miles last year running solo and made a million dollars.

now you can listen to drivers about thisa subject and get a different reason fo doing what every time, the answer is simple if you want to do it yourself you c an save a little money but if you make a mistake it takes more time and money but in fact it is your money do it the way thats bet for you.

me i don;t like paperwork or deaking with it so i have O.O.I.D.A. do it so it cost me a few more bucks so what , i can afford to have them do it and i don't have to worry about it, and i trust them to do it right i must im a life time member and they haven't let me down yet but im an independent i do it my way.

I have my insurance through OOIDA. It is cheaper than anywhere else that I got quotes from. They do everything they can to make things easy for me, from questions to sending out insurance certificates to any questions that I may have. That means everybody that I deal with, not just one or two people. I don't think I would deal with anybody else these days. I hear some negative things about OOIDA but i don't see it. I had Marvin in compliance helping me with a bogus inspection that was one my company record. He helped me get it off of my record. didn't charge a dime and was happy to help me. A+ from me.

 

NOW I JUST HAD TO JUMP IN ON THIS ONE: if you have a us marshall card in your pocket it simply means you have a card , nothing else the marshall service has absoloutly nothing to do with the trucking business or transportation for that matter.

as for goverment freight paying 20.00 per mile , well thats possibel some of there freight pays pretty good but , you have to have 1000000 in liabity bevore you can even get on the venders list, not cheap by any means , and if you get on the list your on a waiting list and who knows for how long. true there freight pays good but it isent automatic and it is not continous as far as an armed escort , not likly those days are long gone

truck drivers have been trying to impres each other with the us marshall service for years and none of it is true , if your n doubt just takes a phone call to vereifie they won't lie to you , they will tell you like it is and truck are not in the deal period .

now ive read all these post and i havent seen one that was disrespectfull at all to anyone period i think maybe some one has there girdel on to tight.

and if you are refering to what i posted i just made a correction on a post that might save some one a little grief about a us marshall and what i posed was a fact not an insult to any one and if you don't like the truth so be it your problem not mined , your comment kinda ruffeled my feathers more then a little and if you want me to leave the forum hell just ask thats all it takes im easy, but don't bark at me i bark back. southernpride
