Reloading at Cold Spring, MN at 13:00. Supposed to deliver in Rolla on Wednesday from 07:00-13:00, but hoping I can get loaded early and either run it straight through or get there early enough to deliver Tuesday. McLane in Northfield, MN wasn't as much of a nightmare as the reviews made it seem. I was there for 4 hours, but I was there in a dock 2 hours early, so can't complain.

Do you guys have any idea how the newer Volvos are holding up? A good chunk of the new Volvos and Macks my FXG CSP are starting to use have electrical issues. I’m actually broke down on the side of the road right now in a mack with 10.5k miles on it actually lol.
Thrasher28, bryan21384 and dwells40 Thank this. -
I think they told me one time that they didn't have any parts for them. Of course that was during the covid year when they couldn't get parts for anything. That's a a case of, "can't or unwilling to solve a problem, just get rid of it."

Man....I got to about the 180 or so Friday evening, and I didn't get off of 70 til 5 am the next morning. I finally gave up and went to the sleeper. It was a mess just like you said. 4 wheelers all in the ditch, at least 4 trucks in the ditch still.....so many trucks were parked on the shoulder since they ran out of hours in that traffic jam.
Professor, you called it!!! It was a bad hose in that exact spot. Nate showed it to me, and that bad boy was split in half basically. It took no time to repair it. They told me to shut off the blue valves on the passenger side so I could make it there, cutting off coolant flow to the APU. Gotta a quick fix and learned something new.Professor No-Name, dwells40, Gearjammin' Penguin and 2 others Thank this. -
How'd ya do making it on to Rolla? I actually live loaded yesterday in Hazleton, PA for Sysco in St. Charles. That traffic jam derailed me from getting a 34, otherwise life may have been different going into this week. I'm on recaps so I'll deliver tomorrow.
I delivered to that Weis Market DC in Milton, PA. I had a 9 am appt, got there at 8. They turned me away. They only take loads 30 min prior to appt now. That annoyed me some. Oh well. Went up the street to this warehouse, parked there for a moment, then a wrecker squares up in front of me, and lowers his hook. I had my lights on, and I was idling. The driver talking about he was about to tow me....he was "told to do so." Nobody came out and told me to leave beforehand either. I told him I was leaving. He replies, "right now," with a tone in his voice like "if you know what's good for you." I really wanted to punch him lol. My professionalism got tested yesterday, but I maintained. They are some vultures out ther le for real.Thrasher28, Lumper Humper and motocross25 Thank this. -
Dang man, you still got the new vehicle smell on it. I'm in one of the older Volvos now. It's got almost 400k miles on it. I've heard some of the guys in the lounge talk about those electrical issues and sensors. I swear, the issues of mass produced trucks.Lumper Humper, motocross25 and Peace_Maker Thank this.

The worst part about your story is them letting you in the gate at 8 instead of 8:30 would've made no difference at all. And I woulda been in the same boat with you and that wrecker driver. It's PA.. not like you had an abundance of places you could just go hangout for 30 minutes. It's not Kansas or Texas where you can just go snag a spot on the side of the road for a little bit. Problem was already solved when you said you'd leave, so no reason for him to be a smart*** and instigate it further.
And I made it to Moberly last night fully in the mindset of today was gonna be a short day and I'd be waiting til tomorrow to deliver in Rolla. Wasnt worried about a short day after 3 good weeks in a row. Woke up this morning and they told me to bring the trailer to Climate, drop it, and take an empty to Wright City to pick up a load to Houston. Sitting here at JJ's west of Benton, AR. I'm guessing I'll be getting rubber to Mt. Vernon after I delivering Thursday at 06:00. Shaping up to be another 3000+ mile week. Climate miles coming back in force in 2024.Peace_Maker, bryan21384 and motocross25 Thank this. -
Dang Driver, you've got to make it to the first oil change before a break down like that. Hopefully they got ya taken care of.
And the one I'm in has its quirks lol. Not the most reassuring truck. Crankcase ventilation code since day 3, randomly TCS, ABS, etc. Lights will all come on until I cycle the power. Air bag error warning on start up occasionally. Sometimes it'll really get spicy and throw a jake brake code and it'll disable it until I cycle the power.
It's solid the other 90% of the time though
Peace_Maker, Lumper Humper and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Climate Miles are definitely back in full force! I've been reeling off some good weeks something serious. It's about to get warm so we are all about to be on fire with these miles. I'll go home this weekend, and ready to get it while it's good. Which Coke in Houston are you going to?Thrasher28 and Peace_Maker Thank this.
