    Hello All,

This morning I had a blowout due to what might be a drag flat situation. I did a full pre-trip on the trailer, but I may not have confirmed all wheels were rolling properly. This company likes to pin a “preventable accident“ on just about anything. Should I be due a preventable accident for a drag flat situation?

    Thanks!

So that qualifies as a preventable accident?

Not really an accident. However, preventable damage. You couldn't tell you were dragging a tire when shifting?

Yeah. I guess the real question is should it go on my DAK report?

    Don't admit to that.

You'll have to ask someone that is still in the industry. I've been out of it for awhile. There were no DAK reports or GPS or autos.

Auto, at first I could tell there was a drag. So I stopped to check everything out and at that point the wheels were turning. If anything, it was intermittent. I just don’t know if this company will see it that way.

Ok things aren't adding up here. How far did you go before stopping? I'm guessing a mile or so. That would have killed the tire. Then only 1 tire or 2 on one side.

You had a flat. That's all you needed to say. You talked yourself into whatever they're pinning on you now. You sound like you don't even know for sure why it happened. Flats happen. They're random.
