Pay better attention to the trailer and stop worrying about your HireRite [DAC] file.

There are possibly more companies that do not use DAC that those that do.

How long have you been there is is this the first incident? Pull forward/ backward see if it keeps rolling, or make slight turns and look in your mirror to see if they are rolling

as long as you learn from this and don’t repeat it it’s not the end of the world

I watched a truck leave the truckstop. Power tire locked up. He rolled down the road a short distance to the freeway ramp. And up the ramp to the freeway.

I was going his direction. Never saw him sitting on the side of the freeway.

Don't work for a company that gets their panties into a wad over trailer tires. They suck up road crap all the time and fail. They are becoming close to insolvent or just like to take drivers up the ###. Your move.

Big difference in picking up road debris and dragging them until they blow.

Oh, I looked in the mirror. Plenty. Wheels were rolling. Then they weren’t. Mechanic came out and knocked some things around. Thought everything was fixed. Wheels were rolling again. Stopped about an hour later. Started again, wheels weren’t rolling for the 3rd time. I went out and did exactly what the mechanic did before and got them rolling again. I have no problem owning up to my mistakes when I make them, which is plenty of the time. Just not in this case.

I’m not following the story line. Were you an hour down the road or 3-4 miles from where you started?

Yup, the story just keeps changing. Now there is a mechanic involved and multiple stops to fix it over a lot more time and distance.

Relax, it is a flat tire. If it is a tire blowout that caused an accident, it is an accident, if it is where you caused a large bill repairing the trailer, then it is an incident, but if it is a flat tire, it is ... a flat tire.
