Water in the trailer air system. Does not have to be freezing temps outside to get a valve to freeze up. Drain the trailers air tanks, load a little alcohol into it. Bet the problem goes away.

The most important things in a deception are... keep it simple and don't change the story once it is told.
And remember, the best lie is mostly truth.

    A little humor relief
Son you're an amateur at flat tires. I've blown 3 on one side at 60 with a load of lumber in a can. Y'all should of seen the citizens behind the truck dodging casings and tire debri. Trailer went down and was listing. Made it to the next exit with out crashing. Another day in trucking. I'm sure the pros on this board have plenty stories.

Do you think I just sat there all day after my first couple of posts? The day progressed. Many things happened. Yes a mechanic had to come out since I last posted. Yes I drove another hundred miles since I last posted. Yes the brakes locked up again. Yes, I was able to get them unstuck myself this time using the mechanics advice.

I don’t lie. I don’t care if a job is on the line. I won’t lie to save it. It’s not on the line however because I’m a very safe driver. When you lie, you give other people power over you. Nothing is worth that, to me anyway.

When I posted this morning, I was only 3 to 4 miles down the road. AFTER those posts I had to have a mechanic come out to get the brakes unstuck. I then drove about 100 miles and stopped at a rest stop. The brakes stuck on me again. I did what the mechanic told me to do and got them unstuck myself. Then I delivered my load to Walmart and wrote a very long DVIR.

That sounds crazy. I hope to stay an amateur at flat tires if I can. Thanks.

I hear you. I’m not sweating the flat tire. I don’t want to have a “preventable accident” put on my DAC report for said flat tire.

Frozen brakes or lines isn't the only way to lock up tires.
