Is 10 months too short for my first trucking job?

Made it about 10 months at my first company with really no issue but there were some internal changes and having some issues with new management/dispatch and it’s getting harder and harder for me to remain professional with some of them due to personality conflicts. Want to get that 12 months ideally, just not sure if I can last another 2 months without going crazy.

what do you think? Stick it out or eat #### and keep my head down for two months until I get that year? My concern is that trucking is a hard enough profession, I don’t want the added stress of personality conflicts with dispatch affecting my ability to do my job properly and safely

If you can find something better, then go for it. The only reason you would need a year experience is if a company requires it.
Put the apps out there and if offered an opportunity, then take it.

My advice is to stick it out IF YOU CAN. But you've got enough experience to go elsewhere if you can't. With that said, snapping on the guy wouldn't necessarily be the worst thing in the world. I'm not telling you to call his mother a lady of the night, but maybe all that's needed is to set this guy straight. Trucking isn't like other jobs. You may find that this guy's personality does a complete 180 if you show him once that you're not scared of him.

The only real consideration at this point is if you would end up owing the company money if you leave short of a full year. If they paid for your CDL training or something, then that agreement could cause you some heart burn. Other than that, it the job stinks I would start filling out applications and see what comes back.

I busted an electrical line that caused me to miss an appointment as well as the company like 300 bucks or something. Other than that, nothing major. No accidents tickets or DOT violations or anything like that

Light cord is no big deal. I wouldn't take no crap for that. If you feel confident just go ahead and move on
Yard dog is not really a great job sounds easy but you'll bust your ### all day usually for crap pay

I guess. I’m only making 240 a day flat working 12 hours on average so that comes out to about 20 an hour. Don’t really mind busting my ### as long as someone isn’t riding it like this dispatcher
