I want to die in my sleep, like my Grandfather....
Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car :3some:

Lol!! That’s the best one I’ve heard on a while!! Reminds me of a comedians joke. Wife said if you don’t like my driving close your eyes. Said no, I want to witness my last split second alive.

Salt is a preservative it's in the air when you're on the ocean. There's some gory details about what, how, why it mummified in some articles.

The storms that boat probably endured over 7 yrs. The snapped off mast alone shows it was in some serious weather. Surprised it never washed up on shore. Looks to be about a 50' ish boat

IDK,depends on your point of view.
My old man passed under similar circumstances.
In his case he was sitting on the stairs in his house. The final report my brother and I got from the Kane County (Illinois) coroner’s office was diabetic ketoacidtosis. At the time of his passing his blood sugar was 660-which for anyone is all but fatal.
It’s not just the fact that he died so young (59 years old) and he didn’t tell ANYONE that he was as sick as he was,but the fact that he died ALONE!!

Some people prefer to die alone. I don't think we have the right, as survivors, to dictate how someone meets death.

Some do,others not so much. In my father’s case he was supposed to go over to my brother’s house for a BBQ. He called my brother telling him that he was tired and was going to take a little nap before heading over there. Unfortunately he didn’t make it.
The next day, I get a call from my brother stating that our father was dead. He,along with my paternal grandmother discovered our father’s body in his house sitting on the steps leaning on the handrail like he was taking a nap.

I would’ve rather heard the news from someone else. I can’t imagine what was going through my brother’s mind finding our father like that.
Parents can prepare you for any eventuality in the world. But when it’s their time (sometimes unexpectedly) it’s still a physical, mental, emotional and psychological shock to the system!
