I worked there in 2022 and they had inverters, but the truck was programmed to shut off if the outside temperature wasn't above or below a certain threshold. Fortunately, my truck was set to only read the temperature when it started up, so if the conditions to idle were met, it would keep running even if the temperature later went into shutdown range. My wife's hair dryer was pretty good at making sure that initial reading was always high enough to idle.Chicken wang, LoneRanger, kylefitzy and 1 other person Thank this.

Bic lighter works too. There's a little nub under the driver's side mirror. Light that rascal up and you'll be good to go.LoneRanger, wifi_guru and MSWS Thank this.

Current driver here, very few trucks have apus but we all have inverters. We can idle the truck if the temperature outside is cold or hot enough they also come with bunk heaters.
MSWS Thanks this. -
