Glad everyone is okay. As far as your narrative goes, remove all speculation about the speed of the vehicle that hit you, and that it is a total loss. Do not volunteer any information that is not asked for by either your companies safety department or insurance representative or a court of law. Just because the LEO says that you were not at fault does not remove the fact that you and your company may be subject to litigation. There have been many case where trucking companies and their driver have been successfully sued after LEO stated that they were not at fault. All the plaintiffs lawyer had to do is paint you and the company as the "bad guys". Stick with the facts of the accident. You were legally( assumed by me) driving in the center lane maintaining the posted speed ( again an assumption) and your position when you were struck by another vehicle causing you to lose control. Do not use 10 words when 2 will do. Keep all details of the accident to yourself and do not share any info about it with anyone outside of your companies rep handling it.FerrissWheel, Magoo1968, CAXPT and 1 other person Thank this.
