Ice Road Truckers CASTING History Channel *URGENT*

I think the idea of actually making a show of everyday highway drivers and what they deal with. Not just about a select few who drive in some frozen hellhole like Northern Canada or Alaska.

 

I don't think it is fake, or at least if it is the person that did it gave a real persons name and contact info.

That is just the current info.

 

Well as I see it even trucking companies pay newbs travel expenses to school. If this was serious why don't they pay you to go out? Also why don't they travel to cities screening drivers?

TV shows pay companies to screen actors so why aren't they doing that here?

I personally find it the worst scam ever thought up.

For the record, I don't think this is a scam. I do think that some of us have been unnecessarily rude though.

 

Rude hell.....O/O's should be naturally skeptic......Dealing with shippers, receivers, and DOT....who all want us to bend over and take it.....One has to gain our trust......You just can't waltz in on this board and expect us to sing Kum-Bye-Yah......

No one wants to be rude but come on! TV Show hiring ads on a trucker's forum?

Why not trade magazines? Or posters in truck stops? Or have a casting call?

Now if I was a scammer I'd look for a big pond of fish where the bait and hook was free and see what bit.

But . . . that's just me.

 

Has he asked anyone for money to appear on the show? If not I don't think it's a scam.

 

Heck, I just put my Tandems in the ditch last week on a two track! Count me out!
