You're right. I would rather go there than NY or LA or the Bay Area or many places in TX.
Those few deliveries in Chicago proper, however, can be a bitc4.
But no more so than those other areas.
Much of my hate for that area is the bad roads, and the bad drivers - drivers of 4 wheelies and trucks.

Flat Earth Trucker, Moosetek13, Turbodriven and 3 others Thank this. -
I don't know why L.A. gets so much hate. 90%+ of it was built after WW2 so most of the streets aren't that narrow. Almost no low bridges. It's far easier to get around than any East Coast city and Chicago.

I'm thinking maybe he should be a grain hauler? Stay away from them evil four lane roads. You know the air was better until they paved so much no everyone is crazy. -
Intermodal is still pretty regional. Intermodal transported an astonishing 2.5 MILLION trailers, mostly all van containers in 2022, a 2.6% increase over 2021. I think as it gets tougher and tougher to find drivers that will go coast to coast, the RR is more viable option than ever.

Don't avoid territory. If ur anxious about it or hate it you should go find someone who knows what they're doing who won't bs you and grow a back bone and tear up them streets
