Flat Earth Trucker, Savor the Flavor, mitrucker and 3 others Thank this. -
The driver hit a bump too hard because he was speeding, so it is a preventable accident. Isn't this the usual reply from Safety, from someone sitting behind a desk, who has never driven a truck, who doesn't even have a CDL.
Bud A., bryan21384 and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
But if they would have loaded it better that would have prevented also. That’s another view point. Not the one that’ll be used though.

Maybe a good pre-trip inspection would've caught that before it happened? I see it all the time with trailers I hook to that have been dragged around bollards. We call them "Marten stripes" sort of like a Nascar "Darlington stripe" because Marten used to be contracted here to pull the trailers. I've seen trailer cross members with 3 of 4 busted rivet heads before and I won't pull a trailer like that down the highway, not even with one missing rivet.Bud A. Thanks this.

I've had that happen a few times. Back always hurts the next day but usually still worth it.Savor the Flavor, Bud A. and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

This is totally off-topic. When I think "Food Lion" and "Virginia," it brings back memories of waiting to be unloaded at their DC in Disputanta. I was there for hours. And hours. And hours. And hours. And hours. Good thing I rarely pulled grocery loads.

You’re not missing much,it hasn’t changed.
Well except maybe the lumper fees are higher now!!Lmaohope not dumb twucker and Savor the Flavor Thank this. -
Food Lion in Disputanta was the last groc. whse that I ever went to. They taught me a big, big lesson. I had a 4 pm appointment, it was midnight when they finally gave me a door to back into. By the time I was unloaded the sun was coming up the next morning. I made myself a promise as I left that morning, I would never go back into another groc. whse and I have stuck with that over many years. I even lost a good little part time job some years back. I was in Dallas, Tx and was instructed to pick up a load going to Fleming Foods in Geneva Ala., I refused, So, the company and me divorced . LOLhope not dumb twucker, Bud A. and Savor the Flavor Thank this.
