I am gonna be at MATS tomorrow after I get loaded up in the morning. Gonna stop by for a few hours and check it all out. Anyone have suggestions on anything to check out while there?
Bring a beach bag and a wrist brace buddy and grab every freebie you can get your hands on. And they’ll be a lot of em. Your want for pens is no more. I haven’t been in a few years but one of the nights they do a light show and it’s pretty neat where all the show trucks are outside all lit up. Totally off topic but I toured the Louisville Slugger factory when I was down there too. It was rad and I don’t even like baseball. It’s a great time! Have fun and post some pics!
Don't get truck ####ed. Gonna be a lot of pretty junk that you don't have. Some of which doesn't even make sense for you. Look but don't get swooped up in the truck ####. She's a terrible beast and the last thing you wanna do is leave a truck show thinking you need everything you just saw lol. unloader
I usually work my way to the back lot to check out the trucks, then go in and look for things that may be of benefit to me. As mentioned earlier, watch out for the uncontrollable forces that lead you into thinking you need 1 of everything lol. Some booths will try to con you in to take a better look, soon after trying to set the hook in your wallet….

HA HA I have been to a few trade shows in the past just not a trucking one. I know the routine as well, I used to help at a booth when we did CES in Las Vegas. Hot pretty woman always was hired to lure you in and let me tell you they did a hell of a good job. I might just get caught up in that one!.HA HA
Oh they'll get you in other ways. "Why don't you take a seat in this custom chair, we offer free installation and here is a good looking woman to distract you from the price." Truck shows are fun as #### as far as I'm concerned. But you gotta remain in the here and now. Sure that seat is comfortable as a lounger, but is it really gonna make you more money on the road? The answer is no, but at least you'll be comfortable arguing with dispatch or a broker on the road. lol It's the finer things in life really. unloader
I did not go outside yesterday since it was raining . Spent a few hours walking around and talked to a few people. Was a good time and will for sure go back another time and plan it out. Might stay for a day or two next time. Lots of interesting stuff.
